I’m sad to see that this is still such a major concern in the server. I do think that some of the other comments/topics here are helpful since they point more directly to some of the potential “causes” of losing players, such as GM activeness in a much wider field.
Perhaps let us examine the levels of GM limitations.focusing more on how to establish a better relationship between a Game Master and the community of this server.
An appointed CGRO player to serve the community as a GAME MASTER of any category, in this case, we would discuss Events, then such candidate is entitled with a game master’s account containing a minimal amount of commands to execute. commands such as (@hide, @follow, @mute, @jail, @disguise) ( Restrictions also include “Deal”, A GM character cannot deal or view any type of vend in any manner ) only if permitted on some cases.
If an event is to be executed on a specific date (in example: 2/4/2018), A Event GM is to request the Admin for the permission to host plus for the items which are required for the prizes, Decision will completely depend on the event manual/mechanics submitted by the event host.then,if approved, the enlisted items will be delivered to the respective game master’s account.(not by deal).
X amount of players expected: (if less then expectation, drop event)
X number of staff support required:
Event executed on test server results.
Based on such results the admin would decide whether if the event is accepted or rejected.
Basically, Running an event is done through a chain of commands.
Admin/Sub Admin -> Head of the Game Master Department -> Actual event Host.
Point to prove, it’s not entirely the one’s mistake in not executing the requested PVP event.
Maybe the Administration team is carrying out more critical scenarios regarding server stability and upgrades.
An accumulated detailed summary should be provided to the player who requires justification on a specific topic through the window of a support ticket.
That detailed body can only be answered or justified by the influence of an ADMIN because of the database prefix or information he holds related to the issue.
Game Master’s are helpless in such cases because replying to a topic in which he is not sure about can change the outlook of a player about the server staff management.
A: Increase in staff member
B: Appoint a SUB ADMIN to manage staff/support tickets/event approvals/recruitments etc.
D: Start Advertising
E: Don’t force yourself to manage the entire project alone, expand it and re-verify it.
